Legendary synthesis, radically re-imagined. Also tried to click "Remove" and plugging it in again, no avail.Īny suggestions? How do I get Windows to recognize the Wavestate again? The only thing I can think of is to do a firmware update (already have most recent 1.0.6 ver), but I'm not sure if that'd work and I'd rather avoid it.* Fully-compatible software counterpart to the hardware wavestate I've tried right clicking it in device manager and updating the drivers, but Windows just says it's got the most recent and best drivers. But I cannot install it, due to the EzSetup file saying "No device detected!" Yeah, no shit, Windows can't recognize it. Then I decided to try the regedit thing in what I linked, and that doesn't work as the korg usb midi driver is not installed.

Cool, that's gotta be it! I proceeded to uninstall some of the entries on the first page and the generic usb midi as well. It worked fine the other day.Īt some point I checked the UnInsDrv64 file and saw that there was no Korg USB-Midi driver, but the generic midi driver associated with the Korg did show up on slot number 11, on the second page. This happens no matter the USB port or the USB cable. I checked device manager, and it shows up under "USB-Controllers" with a yellow triangle as "Unknown USB device (request of device description failed)" I'm translating from Danish here, so it might not be word for word what you'd find in English. Don't even think that the driver entry number outlined in that link is the issue at the moment.Įver since today, when I plug in my Korg Wavestate with the supplied USB cable (have tried another one, same results), I get a notfication from windows saying the device is not recognized by windows and will not work. It seems to be a known issue that the korg usb midi driver has problems with windows in some cases, but I'm pretty stumped here. Solution is to restart wavestate as I said in edit 1. After that the USB didn't get recognized.

Edit 2: I remember now, it all started in FL Studio when I tried to add a "MIDI Out" channel, and it failed to initialize, causing FL to crash. D'oh! I don't know why this all happened, but now I've got some drivers to install.Hi, this is super frustrating. Edit a couple mins after posting: I fixed it! Turns out, I just had to reboot the Wavestate.
